7 summits from Graz

The sports year 2021 has brought a lot of movement to the city; A successful project was the 7 summits - seven elevated points in and around Graz that had to be reached in order to get a stamp for the hiking pass. The response to this action was overwhelming - thousands of Grazers set out to storm the peaks. From now on, this initiative will be continued by the Global Actice City association with the support of the sports office, because it was found in the sports year 2021 that people like to exercise when they feel good about it.

With the Seven Summits there is again a competition where you can be active without any pressure, alone or with your kids and kith and kin, and thus help people. For each pass sent in, the Styrian Cancer Aid receives 5 euros from the partners of “Get Moving”. This initiative is just one of many that underscores the sustainability idea of the sports year. With certification as a Global Active City, Graz has committed itself to moving people in the city and creating the best possible conditions for this. Because sport has an integrative effect and counteracts loneliness, ensures physical and mental health and represents an important pillar of society.

How it works

Simply the collective pass with "Classic" tours (green) and the new "Yellow Edition" print it out or pick it up at the sports office. A stamp must be fetched from each of the seven stations. If you have all 7 yellow and/or green stamps in your passport, send it to: Sportamt Graz, Ivica-Osim-Platz 3, 8041 Graz. Each sender takes part in a raffle.

The Get Moving movement initiative of the Styrian Cancer Aid aims to motivate people to adopt a more active and healthier lifestyle. With the cooperation with 7 Summits, the Cancer Aid collects donations for the free care of cancer patients and their families. Merkur Versicherung, EStAG, Holding Graz and the City of Graz are important partners of Get Moving.
