Today “LET'S GO! Bike2School "

Graz is a cycling city - starting today, September 20th, this should be particularly expressed once again. Because at midnight the campaign "LET'S GO! Bike2School " started in the “Bike Citizens App”. This project is - in keeping with the sporting year - about the sporty and healthy way to school. In cooperation with Bike Citizens, schoolchildren from the age of 10 are to be motivated to cycle to school every day. “Bike2School” thus becomes a playful competition that is integrated in the Bike Citizens app.

All pupils and teachers as well as all school staff are eligible to participate. They register once via the free app, choose their school, found or look for a team they want to start for, and then the path on the bike is tracked. This is how a unique school challenge will emerge over the next few weeks: Which school has the most participants? Which team covers the most kilometers? And who are the hardest-working cyclists anyway? Are the teachers more athletic or the students? Questions about questions that should definitely motivate everyone to get on the bike.

“Bike2School” runs until October 22nd, after which attractive prizes will be raffled among the best teams. Sports Councilor Kurt Hohensinner is already a fan of the campaign: “Apart from the fact that cycling is environmentally friendly and healthy, Bike2School strengthens the sense of community within the classes, but also between students and teachers. In any case, the action is really fun and a perfect way to start the day moving. In the sports year we want to specifically motivate people to exercise more in everyday life. "
