These are the penalty kings and queens of the Graz sports year!

The penalty shootout is not just a question of technique, but above all a question of nerves! The penalty shootout looks relatively easy - but when you stand across from the goalkeeper, your pulse rises quite a bit. This was shown on June 25th at the big “Let's Go Elferschießen” on the grounds of the Styrian Football Association. Perhaps some of the participants became aware of this, who stayed away from the sporting shootout despite registering ... 😉 Not everyone dares to do it ... Those who tried their luck with the penalty point on this Friday afternoon, on the other hand, showed courage and self-confidence and wanted the goalkeepers (many Thanks to the GAK and the Styrian Tormannakademie).

As is the case in a sporting competition, there can only be one winner per category. And these six people prevailed in the Let's Go penalty shootout and demonstrated their staying power and can now look forward to training with a Styrian top trainer:

Winner category children 1: Lukas Krainer (Eibiswald) - training with TV expert Johnny Ertl
Winner category children 2: Maximilian Axnix (GAK Juniors) - training with GAK coach Gernot Plassnegger
Winner category youth: Suhat Yildiz (Ries / Kainbach) - training with U-21 team boss Werner Gregoritsch
Winner women: Emilia Schwarz (Raffl Football School) - training with Sturm women coach Christian Lang
Winner open class / fans: Stefan Antic - training with Markus Schopp for Heiligenkreuz / Waasen
Winner men: Kevin Höfler (Puch / Weiz) - training with Christian Ilzer

The fact that football often writes the most beautiful stories was also evident in the penalty shoot-out: Emilia Schwarz, the youngest woman, won the competition. Stefan Antic celebrated his 30th birthday and was registered as a “birthday present” by his buddy for the penalty shootout. Until a few minutes before the start, he had no exact idea what it was about ... and a totally motivated Kevin Höfler won the men's competition and was very happy about it, after all, he got a training session with Christian Ilzer for his club Puch / Weiz - who is now allowed to lead a soccer unit as a successful storm coach in his home town. 😉

We would like to thank all participants, especially the goalkeepers, who stood in the gate at this challenge and showed quite beautiful parades. Thanks also go to the two referees of the StFV.
