"The Sport Austria Finals will be a comeback of the emotions that sport so desperately needs," said Sport Austria President Hans Niessl. “The preparatory work in Graz is almost complete. The finals are an important impetus for the sport. More than 3.000 athletes will create an atmosphere that you might otherwise only experience at the Olympic Games or similar multisport events. Enough motivation for all of us to get moving again ourselves and to get rid of the many lockdown pounds that we have gained in Austria. For the sake of our own health and, above all, the health of our children! "

For Graz City Councilor Kurt Hohensinner, the Sport Austria Finals are also an important signal of the departure from the Corona crisis: “We are really looking forward to the start of the finals here in Graz and, above all, to being able to bring fans to the sport again . 8 out of 17 sports facilities will be open to the public. It is very easy to be there by registering online. You just have to be quick because the places are very limited and the demand is enormous! "

The cheerleading competitions on the main square showed how fast you have to be, the coveted seats for the two days of the competition were fully booked within 5 minutes.

"Everyone's health is of course the top priority," assures Sport Austria managing director Gerd Bischofter.

“The safety concept for the Sport Austria Finals was developed together with scientists from the various areas, including environmental medicine specialist Hans-Peter Hutter. We have prepared ourselves very long and intensively. Everything is done to ensure the health of the audience. "
